Is Your Planner Idea Ready for Production? Here’s How to Tell

Production isn’t just about getting something made — it’s about making sure your planner is aligned with your customers' needs and market-ready so that it's also profitable.

I’ve seen it too many times: someone rushes their dream planner into print . . . only to end up with boxes of unsellable stock because they skipped a few key steps. This doesn’t have to be you.

Here’s my quick Planner Readiness Checklist:

  • Defined “Why” → You can clearly explain who it’s for and what transformation it delivers.

  • Curated Page Mix → Every page serves a purpose. No filler, no fluff.

  • Tested Layouts → You’ve tried them yourself and put them in the hands of your ideal customers.

  • Clear Visual Identity → Fonts and colors work together and align with your business’s branding.

If you can’t confidently check all four, you’re not ready to print yet. And that’s a good thing. It’s better to pause and perfect than to invest and regret.

This is exactly what I teach inside my mini-course, Create a Planner to Sell: The Prep Course. I’ll walk you step-by-step through this checklist so you'll be fully confident you're ready to hit “print.”
